Ilford Magicians and the Rhythm and Balls Juggling club joined forces for the fourth time to put on a magic and juggling spectacular to raising money for Diabetes UK in excess of £1000.
The packed house was entertained by close-up magic during the first half of the evening. Fifteen magicians entertained over 150 guests with their sleight of hand magic that involved cards, coins, ropes, cups and other magic paraphernalia and in return received gasps of amazement from their audience.
After a break for fish and chips, the cabaret got under way. Opening the action with a lively, energetic contemporary dance routine were three young ladies known as Repertoire. Following on, Richard Graham entertained the audience with his cabaret magic before contact juggler Chris Brown, the Crystal Wizard, transfixed the audience with his floating crystals balls. The lights then went down so that the audience could be dazzled by the juggling light show presented by Glowball Exports. The evening, that was kept moving at a pace by compere Kevin Bird, ended with the International Brotherhood of Magic’s president, Brian Miller, and Audrey’s colourful magic and dove act.
