“What a fantastic evening! Thank you so much. We have had several messages of appreciation – they all said how professional you were. I think everything was wonderful – you all worked very hard to keep the atmosphere so lively. The audience were all so involved and the laughter and exclamations of surprise were constant. We are so grateful to all of you for giving up your time to help us raise much needed funds for patient care. We have raised £5,300 – which is amazing … We would like to do this again next year.”
(Rochelle Hodds, Community Fundraising Co-ordinator, St Francis Hospice)
“A big thank-you for entertaining members of Stonyhill Bowls Club and their guests. Your show was so professional and everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable evening.
I am delighted to say that the event raised more than £700 which will be used to improve facilities at our indoor bowls club in Brentwood.”
(Stewart Cameron, Director, Stonyhill Bowls Club, Feb. 2012)
“We are writing to thank you all for a wonderful evening last Saturday which saw us raise almost £800 for our Church Restoration Fund. It was a truly magical experience! Further, thanks to your organisation, Mike, my co-organiser and I had very little to do on the night which meant we too could sit back and enjoy the show! Everybody who attended enjoyed themselves immensely, and, they’re still raving about it!”
(St Thomas of Canterbury, Grays, October 2011)
“What a fantastic night, please thank all of your team for giving us such a good evening. We raised £710 which none of us expected to raise and we really thank you all.”
(Cancer Research UK, Benfleet, October 2011)
“Close up magic (with a good dose of humour thrown in) with personal magicians for each table and a fantastic cabaret to end the show. Each magician brought their own style of magic, illusions and humour and the interaction between them and our guests was superb. To say the night was a success is an understatement and the evening raised a fantastic £950 to swell the Scout Group’s coffers. Thank you Ilford Magical Society – we WILL be asking you back.”
(Anne Earl, Group Secretary, 4th Canvey Sea Scouts, March 2012)
Although performers give their time freely, a small charge is made to cover public liability insurance and to help the Society to continue providing professional support to charities and good causes.
