A packed audience was bamboozled by the close up magic of the society’s magicians as card, rope and coin magic, amongst other effects, were performed right before their eyes.

Brian Fisher compered the evening which included stage performances from Dave Kay, Keith Pain and Mark Mchawi.

Oz (complete with cut finger) Winner of the Wilson Hall Trophy

The judges deemed that OZ was the winner of this year’s Wilson Hall trophy with his comedy knife throwing act which saw Andy’s blindfolded wife throw a knife across the room and burst a balloon held in Andy’s mouth!

Andy Clockwise from Watford Association of Magicians will head up the judging panel as members compete for this prestigious trophy.

Paul Clancy asked members to bring something along to share with the members. This unthemed night had a variety of offerings from those that attended from cards to mentalism. A great evening with lots going on. Thank you to all that took part

The second half of the evening saw Nick Graham entertain us with a comedy story effect and Mark Chudley impressed with some effects involving cards and numbers. The evening was brought to a close by Ian Manley who performed a variety of effects, not least of which involved an invisible pack of cards and an envelope. Full details can be found in TIMS.
